Uzbek motifs, reread
The brief was a restaurant in Uzbek national traditions that sits naturally in its district. The Uzbek motifs are reinterpreted rather than copied: painted ceilings, crystal chandeliers, green panelling with stained glass, carved furniture. The halls are linked by a glazed conservatory gallery with flowers and patterned tiles.

The conservatory gallery
The glazed gallery works as a conservatory: flowering trees and hanging greenery separate the tables from the passage and give the dining room a second, lighter outline.
