TIM'S Coffee & Roastery in Tashkent: the entrance and the summer terrace in the evening — SAD studio

TIM'S Coffee & Roastery

TIM'S coffee shop and roastery in Tashkent: a loft with red furniture, brick and concrete, the hall split into zones with different levels of privacy. Interior design by SAD studio, 2019; second place at MEMOR 2019 in the Interior category.

A loft with the brand's character

TIM'S has a bold identity: the brand's slogans and images are deliberately provocative. The interior backs it up — a loft of brick, concrete and metal, red furniture and slogan lettering on the walls. The project took second place at MEMOR 2019 in the Interior category.

Zoning and light

To keep guests longer, the hall is split into zones: banquettes along the wall, tables by the windows, a high counter and seats at the bar. Privacy comes from the table layout and the acoustics, while pendant lights gather each zone into a space of its own.

The counter

The counter is assembled like a workbench: the espresso machine on the service line, the pastry case by the till and open shelves of beans overhead. Lighting along its base makes it the landmark you see from the door.
