Souvenir Factory
Souvenir jewellery factory in Tashkent: 6,000 m², a workshop and an administrative building on a single axis. Designed by SAD studio, 2022.
A factory where architecture saves money
The Souvenir jewellery factory of 6,000 m² in Tashkent. In industrial projects we concentrate on functionality and the multi-purpose use of space: a correct flow diagram, headroom for re-planning and an honest structure produce savings already at the design stage — both in construction and in commissioning. The workshop and the administrative building are separated but set on one axis, so a worker moves between them without leaving the perimeter.

A restrained facade instead of decoration
The administrative building is made of two materials: light render on the upper floors and dark metal cladding on the base. The single device is the rhythm of narrow vertical openings — it gives the workplaces side light without overheating and at the same time gives the building a face that reads from the drive. The upper floors are cantilevered over the base, and the overhang makes a covered approach to the entrance.
