Classicism with Eastern patterns
The brief was a building that fits a difficult setting, is recognisable and keeps the balance between construction cost and finish quality. The facade is a light, pale classicism: cornices, pilasters, French balconies. Eastern national patterns are brought into the details — lightly, as a sign of respect for tradition.
