Hostel in Tashkent
A small three-star hotel in Tashkent with a facade of white-stone sun screens laid out as a national ornament. Architecture and interior design by SAD studio, 2018.
Ornament instead of decoration
The hotel is built for tourists and fits into the modern fabric of Tashkent. White-stone sun screens shade the windows and at the same time form a national ornament, so the facade gets a recognisable image without separate decoration. The plans cut transit areas and corridors to a minimum and include energy-saving and security systems.
