Hall of the Ministry of Innovative Development in Tashkent: the marble floor, the round upper gallery and a waiting area — SAD studio

Ministry of Innovative Development

A ministry building in Tashkent of 9,000 m². The hall doubles as an amphitheatre for events, with presentation and exhibition halls alongside it and laboratories above. Designed by SAD studio in 2019.

The state should look modern

For the building of the innovation ministry the studio designed the most advanced office: representative and convenient for visitors, functional for staff. A place that supports both working and creative processes and gives a sense of belonging to something bigger. The hall is built around a round gallery with an amphitheatre: it is at once a waiting space and a venue for events for a hundred people.

A hall for public events

An office space for public events should do more than reflect the organisation’s values and match its corporate spirit. Its main task is to create the most comfortable conditions for the audience and the speakers: sightlines from any row, acoustics without echo, light that does not hit the screen. The presentation and exhibition halls are resolved as two characters: a light one with models and a dark one with media panels.
