Yunus Rajabi mahalla park render: the park from above — SAD studio

Yunus Rajabi Mahalla Park

A landscape concept for a park in the Yunus Rajabi mahalla in Tashkent: alleys and a cycle path under old trees, round lit play areas, a football pitch and a pier by the water.

A park for the whole mahalla

A landscape concept for a park in the Yunus Rajabi mahalla in Tashkent. Alleys and a cycle path run beneath the old trees, with round soft-surfaced play areas for children of different ages between them. In the evening the play areas and steps are lit, so the park stays alive after sunset.

Play areas

The play areas are built from simple forms: circular steps with slides, a climbing hill, swings around a tree, a sandbox with timber barrels and a football pitch. Bright turquoise and pink surfacing separates the play zones from the paths.

Alleys, cycle path and pier

Pedestrian alleys and a cycle path run through the whole park, lined with benches and tables. A timber pier with steps sits by the water, and the street crossing is marked out clearly.
