SAD's 2024 calculation: about 2.3 m² of green space per Tashkent resident, against a benchmark of about 10 m² and a near-term goal of 5–6 m².
In 2024 SAD calculated how much green space there is per resident of Tashkent. It came to about 2.3 m². Gazeta.uz cited the figure on 11 August 2026 in a piece about the park at the Oqsaroy residence.
The studio's architects take about 10 m² of park space per person as the benchmark. Maria Sultanova sees at least 5–6 m² as a realistic near-term goal.
The park at Oqsaroy, about 10 hectares, is being opened to the public, with almost 2 km of fencing around it coming down. It is to become part of a green route of about 700 hectares linking Magic City, Ankhor-Lokomotiv, Ecopark, Central Park and other green areas. A single master plan for the route is still being drafted. SAD is involved as technical consultant to the Tashkent khokimiyat.
